Terms of use

Last updated: 11 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Sahab Gold (the "Platform"), an online marketplace that connects customers with licensed gold and jewellery shops in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. The marketplace

Each product is listed and sold by an independent, licensed gold shop (the "Seller"). Sahab Gold operates the Platform, collects payment on the Seller's behalf where you pay online, and issues the order documents. The Seller is responsible for the accuracy of the product, its karat, weight and hallmark.

2. Accounts

  • You must be 18 or older and provide accurate details.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account.
  • You may close your account at any time from My account → Delete account. Records we must keep by law (for example tax invoices) are retained for the legally required period.

3. Prices and live gold rates

  • Gold prices change during the day. Each product price is calculated as: net gold weight × the current rate of its karat + making charge + stones (if any) + 15% VAT. The breakdown is shown on every product page.
  • The price in your cart is re-checked against the live rate before payment. If it changed, you will see the new total and must confirm it before the order is placed.
  • The rate applied to your order is fixed once payment is completed (or the order is confirmed for cash on delivery) and is printed on your invoice.

4. Orders

An order containing items from several Sellers is split into one order per Seller. A Seller may cancel an order if an item is no longer available or the listing contains an obvious error; any amount paid is refunded in full.

5. Payment

We accept mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and STC Pay through a licensed payment gateway, plus cash on delivery or bank transfer where offered. Card details are entered on the gateway's secure form and are never stored by Sahab Gold.

6. Delivery, inspection and risk

Deliveries are insured until handed to you. Please check the parcel seal before signing; refuse the parcel if it is damaged or opened. Risk passes to you on delivery or in-store collection. See the Shipping & insurance policy.

7. Returns and exchanges

Returns, exchanges and the treatment of gold price changes are described in the Return & exchange policy, which forms part of these terms and does not limit your rights under the Saudi E-Commerce Law and Consumer Protection regulations.

8. Tax invoices

A simplified tax invoice compliant with ZATCA requirements is issued for every order and is available in your account.

9. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Platform, submit false reviews, attempt to access other users' data, or use the Platform for money laundering or any unlawful purpose. Purchases may be subject to identity checks in line with anti-money-laundering rules for precious metals.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Saudi law. Otherwise, Sahab Gold is not liable for indirect losses, and our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Disputes are referred to the competent courts in Riyadh, without prejudice to your right to file a complaint with the Ministry of Commerce.
